Ararat -- present day Eastern Turkey and formerly known as Asia Minor -- took place between the 7th and 8th centuries B.C.

Some of the nations and tribes living in these districts were absorbed by the Armenians, others withdrew before them into the north of the Caucasus.

Armenians are a mixed nation like their language is. I could not care less which one of them have turkic or slavic sounding names. They have loyalty only to you know whom. Back in the ancient days they were very proud people who refused to bow down to the persians. Turkish rule must have crushed their pride and dignity.

Armenians are not decendants of Greeks, some say so but the fact is fact. Armenians are the result of various tribes like Narir, Armens, Araratians, and others that formed once the last Araratian empire collapsed, about 600BC all merged to become the Armenian people, thats is why we still have so many common words from Araratians, their language was caucuasian, but we also have Indo-European tribes that also merged.
