The song is about being lost under a sea of digital media, the grocery store represents every band out there putting their music on the shelves to be purchased and how people take the ease of getting music they love now a days for granted. Not too long ago if you wanted to be a musician and really sell crap you had to play at every venue for shit pay and hand out your CDs like they were cookies. Nowadays someone like rebecca black can upload a song they made in 30 minutes from their house.
