Please never own any pets again. If you really feel you need to subject some poor defenceless creature into your care, at least do some research on it before you go and buy one. >:/

How about this. I'll lock you in your bathroom... Feed you once a day... clean you once a week and you tell me how "happy" you are and how much "room" you have. Stupid ass holes not doing research before buying fish. I have 12 bettas and they are all in at least 2.5 gallon HEATED tanks that I do TWO water changes on a week... Seriously. Let's go to a pet store and buy something we know nothing about. Yeah, that's a great idea! Honestly...

Great idea! I see all the fish lovers attacking you but what about the stores that don't feed them or change their water. Is it the best for a beta, probably not, but you care for that fish and it seems fine in the video. Haters got to hate it's in their nature.

Please don't put your betta into a whisky bottle with a very small opening. There's not enough air or "ventilation" for the betta that has to gulp oxygen every few minutes. the amount of space is fine, just choose an open-top tank

@plusCHEESE Good luck cycling a tank smaller than 5 gallons. This is hardly even possible. I suggest you do research on the nitrogen cycle more before recommending people cycle bowls... And you don't put MARINE plants in FRESHWATER tanks. Just saying.

@godnothing666 Since the bettas at the store are no where near close to their wild counterparts, it is unfair to compare them. I am just saying your setup is hardly acceptable. Fish swim side to side if you haven't noticed. A tank should be longer than it is tall. He has no room. Bettas like to rest on plants and hide in caves and you have provided neither. Not to mention I doubt your water temperature is near what it should be, 80*F. But whatever. Keep torturing him. My fish are fine!

i think this is really creative so good job! but.. you said that your "tank" (whiskey bottle) is 5 liters. 5 liters = 1.32086026 US gallons. Most of the pet stores have betta tanks that are around that size. Those tanks are just longer. Your tank looks smaller because it is taller, not longer, just to clarify for all the haters. Would the betta be happier in a bigger tank with a heater? Prob BUT, he's not in a plastic cup anymore... slowly dying. This is a million times better than that.

You shouldn't have called it a tank. That is a bottle. You're bettas are not happy in there, and there is not enough room to swim around. Bettas need at least a one gallon tank, properly filtered and heated if you don't live in the tropics.
