So some people have asked me to upload some more videos of me solving using the Waterman method. I know it's terrible quality, but this is the only one I was able to get with sound.

I don't have the exact time for the solve, but it it was somewhere around 18 second, which isn't very good for me.

Questions:

Q:What cube did you use?
A:I used an unlubed storebought cube with thick tiles on it. I would have used my FII, or my broken in rubik's, but I couldn't find them.

Q:What is the Waterman method?
A:The Waterman Method is a Corners First method for solving the rubik's cube.

Q:Are you going to make a tutorial?
A:I might get around to making a text tutorial someday, but I won't make any videos. I hate talking in front of a camera, and I'm no good at making good videos.

Q:Why were you turning so slowly?
A: Well I'd like to see you use this cube and turn it quickly! Also, I suck at fingertricks.

  • @5BLD Yeah. There are a lot of tricks. Sometimes it's better to leave out the last ledge until you solve one of the redges, for example. I still need to make that tutorial for the speedsolving forums. I just don't have a lot of time, and when I do, I generally want to relax. I'll probably be able to finish the beginner tutorial in the next week. Hopefully I'll be able to make an advanced tutorial before the end of the year. Anyway, the most important thing you should work on is the first layer.

  • Cool! I'm switching to Waterman, or Petrus. Yay for Waterman.

I average just sub-20 and it's a nice transition from Roux (or more de-evolution or whatev)... But any miscellaneous tricks I should know about?
