http://urbanscooters.com/cgi-bin/urbanscooters/XB-508.html The XB-508 electric bike from X-Treme Scooters looks like a moped, but has pedals so it's officially classified as an electric bicycle. The electric bike classification is great because that means you don't need a driver's license to ride in most states. The icing on the cake is price. The XB508 is only a fraction of the cost of comparable street legal motor scooters and mopeds.

This cool commuter is a fun, fast and inexpensive way for you to get to work, school, the store or wherever the road takes you. It reaches speeds of up to 20 mph for up to 20 miles, but you can go farther and faster if you're pedaling. Since it only costs pennies a day to ride, dont forget to smile and wave hello to your friends as you pass by the pump.

The X-Treme Scooters XB-508 electric bike comes with tons of standard features and accessories. Features like; dual rear view mirrors, dual sport headlight system, key ignition, horn, tail and break lights, front and rear turn signals, cargo rack, speedometer, battery indicator and more. • 20mph and 20 mile range? That is horrable.

    I have a 1983 Honda aero50. It is 26 YEARS OLD. I put $1.66 worth of premium gas in it yesterday and I will drive all week to work (168miles) at 36mph.

  • Honda Aero 50's are cool scooters, but can you;

    Ride them in a bike lane?

    Ride them without a drivers license?

    This is a bicycle with a motor and it only costs about a grand brand new, big difference friend ;)

  • @urbanscooters More importantly, the honda needs to be registered & you need to have a valid DL to ride it on the road.

    An E-boke under 750 watts & a speed under 20mph doesn't need a DL or registrtion.

    Add to that - just used a KW meter on the bike as I charged it, & a full rechange costs me less the .25! Yes, you read right LESS THAN 25 CENTS per full recharge! Which means my XB-700Li get's better milage than even the honda moped. ;)

  • you cant compare a "electric assisted bicycle" to a gasoline motorcycle.
