After Effects Masking Tutorial. (Easy to understand) "Great for AMV makers"

First tutorial I have ever made.

Shortcut Keys you will want to remember.

V = Selection tool
G = Pen tool
F = Feather
M = Mask shape
Page Down = Moves to next frame
Page up = Moves to previous frame

If there are any mistakes please tell me. But I think I have done it perfectly.

Made this couse I got a message from "BayouCutie' asking me about masking, I tried to explain in a message but its to difficult so I made this vid.

If you have any other questions or sujjestions for tutorials I will see what I can do. But I am not a pro at AE so I cannot do advanced stuff. But if I can do it. i'll be glad to help.

Hey man can you please help me im actually a decent editor and know how to mask and stuff but where i open the keyframe section and feather it the like idk how to explain it but it just says mask festher and i can keyframe but cant change the intensity lets just say it also does this with everything in this bottom panel is there a way i can make it come back up because i cant feather my masks bow and cant do other stuff haha please help me n reply

@imblanq By intensity you mean the amount its feathered? In that case there should be a number somewhere near feather like 0.0 just left click and drag to increase or decrease that amount.

I get stuck at the hint from 1.52 - 2.00

There's no "mask shape" option when i open the masked layer

The page down button doesn't move down a frame for the next cut

I'd appreciate if you could get back to me about these issues because i've been struggling with after effects for almost a week and it's driving me crazy T_T

What type of computer do you use? Ie mac/pc/linux.

What version of After Effects are you using? 7/CS/CS2 ect.

@imblanq same exept my problem is unlike masking on vegas i dunno how to stop a mask i tried delteting but it deleted it all my gues is the keyframe thing but that i have no idea
