@LightBlueYoshi Hey LightBlueYoshi. Do you have the excact translations (japanese to english) for level names in Kaizo 1? I'm just curious to see them.

This looks very tightly optimized to my untrained eyes. I especially loved how you managed to actually build up speed at the beginning and keep it. Most of all, though, I loved watching this hellish level be made to look easy.

Haha, steal a TAS from me, say that you made it, and I still wouldn't mind! (Of course, only applying to tool-assisted speedrunning. I'd care about other things stolen from me. XD)
A collab does sound fun! At the moment, though, I'm in a collab with a few others for an "any%" run of New Super Mario Bros.; we're almost at World 8, so we should be done in about a month (or two?).
Thanks - I'll try to look for more improvements sometime. I'm sure this level can be finished by 360!

@LightBlueYoshi Really? I've never met anyone who doesn't care if you are given credit for something that's yours that is being taken from. You are a really generous person ^.^
Although if you don't decide to do this, help is always appreciated, whenever you find any extra breaks or skips is definitely beneficial. A collab could also be another option if you do want to join in on the fun ^.^

Oh, you don't need permission! I honestly don't mind, really! (I don't even care for credit, haha. It's just an input file to me!)
I hope you're able to keep those frames - 13 is a lot...
-
@LightBlueYoshi I've had the editor and I would have tried to combine them together, but I didn't have permission to do so. I also thought it would desync since you need exact X and Y subpixels.
The Bob-omb positioning varied from mine to yours as well. I'm not sure if I gained or lost, but I may go back and fix it up a bit. I will look into your discovery though.
If I can't keep the lead at the chuck, then I may quit since there's no point being 13 frames ahead only to lose 8 of them =\
-
Sweet! That's a lot of frames! If you keep going, it'll become amazing!
I'd suggest using the program TAS Movie Editor. It has a feature that allows you to combine two movies into one! (Although you may want to fear the many desyncs that can happen. D=)
By the way, I was able to save a few subpixels by the part with the Bob-omb from entering this level 1 frame later one time. It was lost because of the Bob-omb positioning, though. You may want to look into that!

@LightBlueYoshi Well, I was able to get up to a maximum of 13 frames ahead of you (by the midway point) but for some reason, you cut it down to 6 by the time I get to the bullet bill part. I wish I could combine both our runs =\
You must be very generous with your TAS'es. That also explains why you release the .smv for about every TAS that you make =P
If you are still in the mood to do a collab after you finish your other collab, just let me know. I won't be too far ahead since I am looking for my own improvements, and I am working on about 10 different projects (I can multi-task fast and somewhat efficiently xD).

It actually depends - if it's a run of a complete game, or if it's a famous game/has lots of competition, I usually upload the .smv. Otherwise, if it's something that isn't very important, I don't upload the .smv. I'll still send it if they're actually interested, though!
