@graceadeline1990 Why are you taking so much offense? Because of my line "Are you nuts?" I'm joking around about myself (i.e. what I said is true, but I recognize the humor in it). There's no practical way to convey humor through little 500-character textboxes.

@deskset24 then why watch this video? this is a cooking video, if you don't cook, then why watch it? it wasnt made for YOU

10 minutes of my time? Are you nuts? Yesterday I got home from the supermarket, and was barely able to walk through the door before I shoved the can of vegetarian refried beans into my mouth. When I get hungry, I've got NO time for cooking. I just eat the raw ingredients.
Yes - you vegan bakin bits look delicious. But, I turn on my stove about once a year. I live by the microwave.
LOL! I'm a fingering gal

@Meliasaurus Actually you are only partly right. In order to hydrogenate an oil, you must bring it to near smoking point then add water to the bottom which is then near-instantaneously converted to steam which brings up water-soluable compounds (this process is known as sparging). Following this, a catalyst (usually a nickel-like powder) along with pressure & that heat, causes a reaction resulting in the hydrogenated oil.
In short, hydrogenated oil isn't made as easily as heating up oil.
