Have only been longboarding a few months now. Has been great therapy for my back. Working on less arm motion to get my body more into the timing. Also have to try and not bend over so much. Always enjoy skating at the beach. The joints in the sidewalk slowed me down a bit, but was still able to max at 12 mph while averaging about 8.5 mph for 15 miles. As more sand got into my bearings I slowed to a little less than 8 mph. By the time I was done a couple of my wheels would not spin!

  • Almost started too early as some of the businesses are out washing with pressure washers. Going a little later also gives a better chance that board walk would be cleaned by the sweeper of sand!

  • Cool. Nice to not have much people to slalom around. The waves looked good too. I am not much for dawn patrol but it does have advantages.

  • My board is the Subsonic Pulse 40 made in Oregon by Scott. Great board. You can see all his boards and more at subsonicskateboards. There is a lot of information on LDP at pavedwave.

  • looks really fun, what board do you have? I am thinking about asking for a longboard for my birthday and your board looks cool.
