little do I know
little do I care
little would it help
if knew and was aware
aim beyond the stars
catch a glimpse of gold
a planetary chart
where the stories are untold

there's a piece of truth for everyone
give me something to die for
like a sacrifice for days bygone
in my solitude

there's a place where I want to hide
with a view to a shallow moon
there's a star in my cosmic mind
that reminds me of you

a gathering of wolfs
under luna's light
fear of the unknown
make us worshippers at night

there's a compromise for everyone
but I need something to die for
like a sacrifice for days bygone
in my solitude

there's a place where I want to hide
with a view to a shallow moon
there's a star in my cosmic mind
that reminds me of you

tokens of the afterlife
feeding on the blood of christ
chasing for an alibi
searching for the holyland
following the masterplan
does it matter in end?

souls unwoken
hearts unbroken
lunar rites
seize tonight

  • what a beautiful falsetto. These songs are not the best from Kamelot (IMO) but his voice is without a doubt at it's best with The Fourth Legacy and Karma. I should clarify. I think this album shows a little bit of immaturity but it still kicks the shit out of many other bands. i do love it. just not as much as Epica/The Black Halo/Ghost Opera bonus tracks

  • this may sound strange, but this is perfect for listening to whilst eating extremely spicy food XD imo

  • Years ago the first song from Kamelot I´ve heard... still my favourite... for me it´s a classic among many, many songs even from more known bands. Great job was done...

  • 4:27-4:38 = Pure Sex for every musicians ears, if anyone knows where to get more of that stuff, i´d be thankfull. Best Instrumental stuff ever since then :)

  • @horrorfestlover I wouldn't even really call them a Power Metal band. They're too pogressive.

  • This song like.. contans everything that I love in Kamelot for those years. There are no music like this. Roy Khan is a living legend.

  • @GrimaceDio It's not a bad thing and I never said you need to apologize. Yes, your right about power metal having a lot in common with Iron Maiden and Queensryche. In my opinion, I think Kamelot is a lot more original than Edguy or Avantasia, that's why I said they don't sound a lot like 80s coming back because in my opinion, Avantasia or Edguy are just copying AC/DC and other 80s bands when Kamelot is not as generic or trying to sound similar to other 80s bands.

  • @horrorfestlover Actually I own every album and I'm still kicking myself for not seeing them live before Khan's departure. I had tickets to go and meet them last year but Roy got sick..damn. anyway, I know they have a medieval sound but overall power metal does have a lot in common with 80's bands like Europe, Queensryche, Scorpions, and Iron Maiden. Roy Khan even cited Geoff Tate as his biggest inspiration. I just don't think it's a bad thing. Why should we apologize for liking good music?
