@sm0kefan420 very true. the whole mzr line is basically ford. i have an 06 miata with bolt ons and it has the 2.0 liter version of this engine. and right under the engine code, a big " FoMoCo" stamp on the side of the block.

only way a ford will do a burnout is on the wet ground, but sounds sick, actually i am being an asshole, the focus svt nd sts are actually nice

only upgrades I did was svt suspension, 2.25 trubenz exhaust and the 6spoke svt rims.

I had an 04 se 4 door. with the 2.3 5-speed, loved it. not as much power as the st but it ran side by side with a stock svt till I hit the 105mph speed limiter. Wish ford would put the 2.3 back in the new focus i would get it.

@smokefan420 yeah that is the motor that used to be in the rangers...but this one has a much higher compression ratio, coil on plug design, hotter plugs, better emissions,with much better horsepower out put do your research before you open your mouth

give your fuckin head a shake you tool the 2.3 is a ford engine it was used in pinto's rangers, mustangs, t bird turbo coupes, tempo and topaz to name a few mazda may had a little input on the newer 2.3 but it is still a ford motor so it even has a ford stamp on the block even the 2.3 that is used by mazda has a ford stamp in the block

Well, your right about that motor, the old "Lima" motor as Ford called it. This is however a new as of '01 motor, a true clean sheet design.

Yes! Good eye! 03 Esperante. We installed an intercooled Procharger on her. :)
