Marco Meladri, starting at pole gave the extatic crowd a wonderful performance, taking the lead for more than half of the race. A technical problem called in an early finish for him and gave way to another all italian fight. Vitantonio Liuzzi finished in first, closely followed by Gianni Morbidelli and Thomas Biagi.
This first nightrace round at the Losail racetrack was nothing less than a first class, top quality racing event. Very well organized and with top performances.
