Fantasmic January 2009 in Disneyland (part 2 of 3)

The Fantasmic show on January 5, 2009 seen on Tom Sawyer's Island from New Orleans in front of the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland. Featuring Mickey Mouse's powerful imagination and the dark forces that invade his mind he must overcome. The Mark Twain steamboat was out of order that week so instead of the characters riding the boat as it sailed by, they marched onto the island's stage and the spinning fireworks were mounted along the island's edge. no dragon or what

The dragon is in this show around time index 7:20 when I filmed this back in January. But I just went there and can say as of July 22, nothing new has been added. The new dragon supposedly isn't operational yet (nor are Ursula's eels) so instead the witch Malficent stands on a tower fighting mickey in place of the old dragon.

are they finish with building the dragon? in the video the dragon looks unfinished to me

I should have specified, from this video's point of view the dragon only looks unfinished because you can see around the cloths and illussion made to make the dragon look fuller on the front side but from the side here we can actually see the crane that makes up the dragon. I've heard lots of talk of them having redesigned the show, I'm not certain yet if they have reshaped the dragon to hide the hollowness from the sides.

I haven't seen the new version of show everyone is refering to so I'm not certain, perhaps someone else out there knows...

Though it is a worry in the back of my mind about all these great classical disney characters that one day just may not be shown anymore because the younger generations haven't seen these movies as much as ours did.

didnt they remove it a LOOONG time ago ? i think it collapsed on its own, and they finally replaced it with floatsam and jetsam . they look great (:

ive seen the show 3 times already and i always look forward to it!!!...jus alittle upset about the dragon..but i still love it...the ending is my all time favorite!!...i like when characters come together!!!

Well they are lying. I went there recently and saw her from the train lying perfectly intact in storage. LOL! Silly Disney thinks we won't look!

this in one way is faid because mickey is in programs all over the world

never finish

and the new generation grow with him,

because that structure is removed to the next dragon for the summer nightastic event
