@sweetsonicstars1 4-D has been around for decades. 4-D film combines a 3-D film with physical effects in the theatre, which occur in synchronization with the film. Among the most famous early 4-D films are 1959's THE TINGLER and 1960's 13 GHOSTS. 4-D films today are usually presented only at theme parks. CAPTAIN EO and HONEY I SHRUNK THE AUDIENCE are examples of Disney 4-D films.

Wonder if a restored original TRON will be re-released in theaters like STAR WARS before doing a new DVD release. Late this spring they should re-release TRON in theaters, then an encore of TRON: LEGACY, then come out with the box set. This summer have a retooled People Mover with TRON attraction at the Disney Parks & for Christmas 2011 have a VERY MICKEY TRON-A-THON. Don't know what that would be except I like the name. Then in 2014 a TRON MOUNTAIN exhibit to coincide with TRON 3 in 5D.

@Gnillob802 Since making my original comment Disney showed they didn't know how to market this franchise. Marketing sat on the fence between acknowledging & ignoring the original, alienating everyone. They should have embraced the original with a DVD re-release, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, an on-line release of T1 prior to T2 w/ T2 promos. As it stood many (MANY!) who never saw the original just weren't interested until they could see them both on DVD. T3 tie-ins will focus on the animated series.
