1984 Lyndon H LaRouche Commerical

Perpetual Presidential Candidate Lyndon H LaRouche spouts off about Walter Mondale in a commercial played on KWTV, channel 9 in Oklahoma City, on October 22nd, 1984.

Some words can be difficult to understand, so here's a transcript:

"Mondale is not simply a KGB agent in the ordinary sense, of course. Mondale is jointly owned by the left wing of the Socialists International and the grain cartel interests. If both these owners tell Mondale to lick the floor, before a nationwide TV audience, I sincerely believe he would do just that."

How would he know that Walter Mondale was a "KGB agent" working for the "grain cartels" unless he's also a "KGB agent" with strong connections to the "grain cartels"??

This guy predicted that America would be devastated by nuclear war by the summer of '77 if Carter was elected. He also said that the USSR would attempt global domination by 1987. LaRouche is a false political prophet, yet thousands still vote for him in Democratic primaries every presidential election. When will people wake up and stop wasting time in this cult?

As a matter of fact, yes there was an alternative --- simply to let corrupt and incompetent companies fail just as anyone else would. you and all others sharing your sentiment have misassesed the situation. yes it would have been tough but not worse in the long term because we have just made worse and put off the problems at hand. it will be a harder fall later. Was there an alternative? No bail out would have been worse. La Rouche comes across as someone who always cries wolf. Eventually he will be proved right about something, although I agree there is a risk of inflation he talks a bout hyper-inflation in short order, no sign of that as yet
