Gregory and Steve make biscuits in class. Gregory talks to his friend about how it feels to be in love and Steve compares it to indigestion. Funny scene from the Scottish Entertainment film.
Got to say, Clare Grogan here looks fit with a Louise Brooks type bob haircut, before she went highlighted blonde. She gave me sleepless nights back in the day. Louise Brooks if you have never heard of her, copy paste,
@mistermac4 I think this is the original...because the only one you can find on, like, Hulu, and the movie channels in the US is a version where all the voices are dubbed. They're still Scottish voices, just ever-so-slightly less muffled because I think they were worried Americans wouldnt understand anyone. This version's much better :)
In the original film, the boy slows down Gregory's mixing with his hands. Gregory asks "Have you ever been in love?" His pal looks down at their hands, and pointedly releases Gregory's hand. The idea was that Gregory timed his question rather badly. Was this mild, vague reference to homosexuality too much for the Moral Majority in the US? It wisnae jist the awksents they couldnay thole ower there, aiblins...
@yippitydodah OK Clare, as I always thought, you were wearing a Louise Brooks wig.
Any chance of wearing it for me again......
