BZ Community Class- Gigi Torres (solo)

Gigi Torres is originally from Irvine, CA, and has been training in all areas of dance from the age of 3. She is an international and domestic instructor, sharing her knowledge and love for dance from the East Coast to the Westcoast and overseas in Europe and Portugal.

Gigi is known for her work in Choreographer's Carnival Hollywood from 2005-present, The Highlands of Hollywood, Funkanometry LA, SD, and SF, Breed OCLA, Kaba Modern, Hip Hop Kidz, Kat Jimenez, and many high schools and studios in the LA and OC areas. She is the Director and Founder of the All-Female Dance Crew "Essence" that consists of ladies working in the entertainment industry.

She has danced in many shows including Jack Rabbit Flash's "Ladies in Lace," Monsters of Hip Hop the Show directed by Tabitha and Napoleon, Asia Entertainment San Jose, Dance 2xs' Project Element with Marty Kudelka, etc. Represented by Bloc Talent Agency, you could also see her as the Principal Dancer and Lead Girl on the Lee Hom ft Jin's Music Video "Heroes of the Earth" and a 2 Michael Jordan Commercial's - "Second Generation" and "Fist." Be sure to watch this month's Choreographer's Carnival on June 27th because Jun Quemado and Gigi will be doing a collabo project for the first time to hit the Hollywood stage.

thanks for the critique changeiscommin. Like I said in my interview for this class...I brought back an old piece "We Need A Resolution" from when I choreographed it September 2007 also in my Carnival piece of September 20007 which was before Femme Fatale (The workshop I planned - Essence x Funks SF). Resolution is perfs 4 the New Yr! Mari is a very good friend of mine and we have taught at many workshops together. Please keep your opinions to yourself until you get the facts. Thank you.

whack. the "move" ur referring to MEANS "bite." its the same as people stickin up their middle finger to mean "f u" or someone puttin their finger on their wrist for "time," or someone placin their hand across their eyes to mean "see," or someone cupping their hand & placin it beside their ear to say "hear".. like sign language. thas not a bite, hater. its a display of the lyric that mari didn't invent--no offense to her-i LOVE that girl. hav u NEVER seen anyone do that move to mean "bite"?
