Hay I'm the oldest real wild thing in the US. I'm the snow leopard cat kid. I love being a kid & not an adult. I'm a 5 year old. I never wanted a car & a driver's license when I turned 16 & I still don't. I married Judith in my Judith's like the wind video.
This film is a fantastic companion to the book and embodies everything that Sendak meant to say in the book originally. I applaud you, Mr. Jonze, for staying true to the vision!
Yeah most of Sendak's books were very dark and deep... with illustrations to serve as a backdrop for his own extremely emotional past. There is a myriad of symbols in his illustrations... some of them are comments on what was going on when he was illustrating or when the illustrations were commissioned. In fact, most childrens' books from those days were extremely metaphorical with deep social commentary.
I want a 2nd WTWTA. I have an Idea for one. I want to see more Judith & Daniel The Bull moments. I been loving Judith since Aug I called her my girlfriend & now I want to marry her. I'm a crazy loving animal lover. I also want to do her.
I've seen the movie twice. And I would see it a million more times if I could. The movie made feel like a kid again it made me wanna go home and run around and just be a kid. I loved the book as a kid. When the movie ended I was in tears because it was sad and that it ended I didn't want to leave that theater that seat. I wanted to just cry out of happiness for that movie.
This movie really brings back the days of childhood when the emotions were close and immediate, the passions intense, vaguely strange, terrifying and beautiful all at the same time.
