I filmed this video today to help promote my new rubber-band frame invention!

Do you make a lot of paintings on canvas stretchers? Do you make too many for you to frame economically? IMO, artists shouldn't have to pay $30+ to frame their paintings before displaying them. IMO, we should be able to go to an art supply store like Michael's or AC Moore or Utrecht and buy rubber-band frames for five or six dollars. Rubber-band frames have the advantage over traditional frames in that one rubber-band frame can fit multiple-sized canvases, so they can be re-used on different sized paintings. Some artists leave the edge blank, or they paint the edge of their canvases, but using rubber-band frames is quicker/safer alternative to that, because it gives art-buyers the freedom to frame their new purchases with any type of frame they want and not covering up a painted edge. Or they may choose to simply display their new painting with the rubber-band frame it came with. As a professional artist, Imagine not having to spend $30+ to frame your pieces before you sell them. Imagine a quick and easy way to present your artwork for only a few dollars. As an artist myself, I know that I get a thrill out of putting the finishing touch onto my paintings by framing them. The simple act of framing my paintings adds to the credibility of the piece and gives me closure on each painting that I do. Imagine a quick easy solution for covering up staples around the edge of your canvas. Your gallery paintings could be framed for under $10... how cool would that be??? How come nobody else thought of this... lol!

I just want to help bring a useful new art product to market and to help artists present their work in an affordable way. So please send me any feedback you may have regarding this invention. Thanks for your encouragement and support, and thanks for watching my video... enjoy!

*Special thanks to the folks at the West Chester Bikeline for giving me a few old bicycle tire intertubes to make my first prototype with :)

* I started blogging about my invention today. I didn't have much time to work on the blog today, but I'll probably expand upon my first post by Sunday night this weekend. My blog is at: http://RubberBandFrames.blogspot.com enjoy!
