Las Vegas, after Bobby B's Doo Wop Convention, singers keep building in men's room, finding the perfect "echo". Renaissance, Vicky Tafoya & others, once in a lifetime, unplanned gathering of talent and singing.

  • When I was young, I lived near Belmont Lake State Park, North Babylon New York and there was a 75 foot long tunnel which passed below Southern State Parkway which led into the Park.

The tunnel was the most fantastic echo chamber for harmonizing and I still can remember how, in 1961, my sister and her group often held practices there. Where in hell have the last 50 years gone? Jeeeze, it seems like only yesterday.

    Thanks for the video- *****

  • Isn't that what it's all about, bringing back memories. What a great little story Eddie! Thank you for sharing it.

  • This is the most Purest form of Music, No Instruments, Nothing! Just Vocals, What most people don't realize is, Well, Let me speak for myself, In my days of singing harmony, I find it alot harder to keep in my Vocal Range, Then I do, When I'm playing in a Group on my Instrument, I know I got an Aflat BFlt, ETC...My hands go there, But, with the Voice, It takes more concentration. You can't screw up there. Great "Harmony"

  • Hi...Richie from the NiteKings here in Vegas...I remember that night in the mens room....so much talent in one place at the same time...we had 10 1st tenors a few bass's and a whole lot of 2nd's and barri's....glad someone captured it

  • This truly was an awesom experience. As many times as I've seen it, I'm still moved.

    I'm glad I was there.

    Maurice, Renaissance
