Sorry, didn't know that. :)

@iPROFITDON ah ok then that's another thing xD
FUN FACTOR! xD

@CrimnlBT Oh I know why it's so expensive, one it's a Bugatti, and two it's the most extreme piece of over engineering excellence ever. I never said the UA or anything was a better car, because it's not, it's just faster and much more brutal. That brutality is what I like. There is no other car that can cruise as such high speeds as easily as the Veyron IMO.
-
@iPROFITDON let's see... about 350 veyrons are built by now and i saw at least 30 on youtube alone being driven by private drivers with camera or test magazines ... don't really think that's all^^
y do you think the veyron is so expensive?^^ it has the most expensive and most enduring parts put together combined with huge luxury, the sound system alone is as expensive as a ferrari... no car can let you drive 400+ with such an ease^^

@weetnietgeen You're correct, it does need to "accelerate" at those high speed. Accelerating at 431kph is an aerodynamic achievement. The resistance you're talking about isn't the weight of the car holding it back but air resistance that keeps it from accelerating any further.
Weight is one of the factors that helps the Veyron get murdered in acceleration say to a mile. But running for say 10 miles, tires, aero, gearing, etc has more to do with over all top speed than weight.

@iPROFITDON using google right is art for itself it seems >_>
it's not hard to build a car going 250mph+ (btw normally i use kmh^^) just put a v8 tt in a long transmission and build in a clutch which has enough endurance and a chassis with enough aerodynamics... that's why the ssc wont go faster around corners than a gtr, aventador or mp4-12 because it has almost no downforce at all, even the veyron has MUCH more downforce...
-
@CrimnlBT - among other things. Thing is 99% of them aren't driven hard. Where do you see an Aero breaking down? I've never seen a single one have a problem.
You're saying the SSC isn't well engineered? A car this fast can't help but be well engineered. It's a modern day Mclaren F1.
-
@CrimnlBT I tried and found nothing of the Veyron and LP700 pulling 1.6G on a skid pad lol. Actually the last test I read the LP700 pulled 1.05G on the skid pad, I don't think you know what you're talking about. x}
It's rather easy now days to build a car that will beat the fastest production cars in the 1/4 mile. Running a 9.3 is worlds different than running 260mph.
You're wrong, ask M5boards, drag times and such, a few have had transmission problems sheering gears when driven hard -
Million $ car but a potatoe as camera. Seems legit.

@TheLaimer
i enlargeds the video. the original video was a small frame at the side. So the resolution suffers.
ANyway, autocar only test drove the veyron SS. they dont own one.
