  • That's bullshit. Addiction is not an inherited genetic disease. Genetics may predispose a person to addiction, but it's environmental factors and stressors that ultimately trigger the addictive behaviours.

    A person with a genetic predisposition for addiction may be fortunate enough to get through their life with their addictive potential remaining dormant, just as a woman with a predisposition to getting breast cancer won't necessarily get breast cancer.

  • Being teetotal may not be as hard as you think.... have hope and courage....
