The Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2009 offers runners a truly unique opportunity to take in the sights of the city. Starting at Dataran Merdeka, the site of Malaysias independence, the marathon route weaves its way through the streets of Kuala Lumpur and showcases some of the most beautiful and historical landmarks in the city. These include the National Palace, the world renowned Petronas Twin Towers, the National Museum and the lush Lake Gardens. This route also showcases the cultural diversity of Malaysia as it passes through pockets of different communities.

Just came back from the event. Won't be goin back cos the whole experience was awful !!
I've done 15 marathons and 8 Ironman events.
This is the most poorly organized one!!
I feel like the whole thing was a con job. It reflects poorly on the country...
Standard Charted should be wary who they give the budget to if they decide to have in KL next time.

That is quite impressive. So much easier to watch then run. How can they be so organised to do this though, yet run out of water, 100 plus, cups, tshirts and medals?
