  • Thanks for the comment shadowfansydney. This home is actually located in Denver, Colorado in the city. The woman who owns this property (Sundari), is a sustainability advocate in Denver, and has gone through the process of getting city approvals for what she is doing. She is an incredible advocate with a passion for change. Keep and eye out for her book in July titled "The Idiots Guide to Urban Homesteading". Make sure you chat with your municipality about what you can, and cannot do. -Rodman

  • ok, I don't get how they can have all of that there, I am wondering exactly how far this family lives from an the actual city because as far as I knew, most american cities won't allow you to have "livestock" in a residental area, you have to be zoned for stuff like that, I wish I could do it myself.

  • @shadowfangsydney I posted a quick answer to your comment about The Urban Conversion Visits and Urban Farm. Thanks for the post! -Rodman

  • @shadowfangsydney: Rabbits (best for meat, no noise and pretty clean and compact) and Hens (no noise) for eggs. Garden? Anywhere where grass is :) The value of knowing where and how your food was treated/produced? Priceless.
