@shadowfangsydney: Rabbits (best for meat, no noise and pretty clean and compact) and Hens (no noise) for eggs. Garden? Anywhere where grass is :) The value of knowing where and how your food was treated/produced? Priceless.

@shadowfangsydney i live in nyc & have a coop with 11 hens & grow organic food. chickens (not roosters) have always been allowed here.

The woman who owns this property (Sundari), is a sustainability advocate in Denver, and has gone through the process of getting city approvals for what she is doing. She is an incredible advocate with a passion for change. Keep and eye out for her book in July titled "The Idiots Guide to Urban Homesteading". ok, I don't get how they can have all of that there, I am wondering exactly how far this family lives from an the actual city because as far as I knew, most american cities won't allow you to have "livestock" in a residental area, you have to be zoned for stuff like that, I wish I could do it myself.
