The ability to transform myself into other characters and present these "people" to an audience has been one of the great thrills and fascinations of my life. Here are a few photos I have salvaged from a lifetime in show business on both sides of the camera. If anyone has any photos of Lawrence Benedict, in any of over forty full Equity plays and over 100 television shows and movies, I would be delighted to hear from you. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the brief glimpses into these characters. I certainly enjoyed creating them and bringing them to life on the stage and on the screen.
I am grateful to all who afforded me these wonderful opportunities to entertain others but especially thankful to the National Theatre School of Canada (École nationale de théåtre du Canada) and the Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada for giving my career a wonderful start.
I am so grateful to Jeanne Hartman for he coaching and sharing her performing arts insights with me, lo these many years.
