Regardless of what you feel about Letterman, you have to admit that there is no other show on television that would allow stuff like this to happen. It's a tremendously influential and groundbreaking show.

Letterman is letterman. Its a tv character thats been popular for a long time, and believe it or not, whether you like letterman or not... he's on the air, making money. And youre not.
Crispin glover is interesting and funny... sorta... but no more interesting or funnier than a handful of people i know. he is a character actor. bfd. not exactly astoundingly talented. beats michael rappaport though.
