Global Health Initiative Executive Director lauds Nepal for its Health Progress

Ms. Lois Quam, the Executive Director of President Obama's Global Health Initiative, wrapped up her four-day visit to Nepal on December 2, congratulating the country's President on the progress toward achieving the MDGs for health at a meeting in his residence.

She said,"No mother should lose her life giving life. If we strengthen the systems that save mothers, we create better systems for all basic health services."
