Very often when we lose an artist of Barshai's stature we bemoan what we have

lost!  Thank you Addiobelpassato for reminding us through this golden memory

what we have gained through the depth and breadth of Barshai's expressive and

humanistic conducting art. He was one of the truly great immortals. Bravo!
