Lebanese Dancer Maya Abi Saad

This is the most wonderful, incredible, amazing belly dancer EVER. Her name is MAYA ABI SAAD and this video shows her FIRST time on TV, where she won the bellydance test thingy (I dunno much about it) and became famous. She is a true inspiration and a true contemporany lebanese belly dancer. Bestest ever! Worth watching. Dont be afraid to play it again and again. Ok les gouts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas, mais cette danceuse manque de grace. Elle est belle, bein habillee tout ce que vous voulez mais quelque chose lui manque, on dirait qu'elle force ses mouvements....

OK kARDANCE....This belly dancer is bad....no professional, no beauty in the styl....the best for her is to see DIDEM....its people like her to get an bad opinion of bellydanse and bellydancer who do a nice work....

If there are other videos of her, I would post them instead. I have to agree with dinavienna. From a technique standpoint there is a lot of work to be done based on this video. It looks more like booty dancing than bellydancing for a good portion of this

from a dance technique point of view: what she s doin from 5.50 in is veeery unattractive when she s shimmyin her head shouldnt "shimmy" with her, nor should her hands!! she s shakin them with the hip movement, i think she s very much of a beginner on this video?

kardance below says this music is not good for dancin, especially the 1st part. and she thinks the dancer is not good at all, tastes may be different, she s beautiful, well dressed, but lackin something, it looks like she s "forcin her movements", and lacks grace. (as for the "forcin of movements" i m sorry to say i absolutely agree - i ve always been puzzled why ppl like maya s dancin to me it s not typical bellydancin it looks very rough and a bit like gymnastics.. sorry to say!)
