With a greatly extended high-frequency range as compared to their predecessors, the Adam Audio AX Series Reference Monitors offer a lot for a mid-priced nearfield. You could say the Adam A3X, Adam A5X, Adam A7X and Adam A8X "really tear the room off your mix," but that would be just a bit too much frothy hyperbole for these no-B.S. boxes.

Adam Audio U.S Rep Robert Capputo gives us a quick tour of the offerings in the Adam AX line, talks about the success of the Adam A-series line, and the tweeter design in the new speakers.

    Why there is 192khz music?

  • Present, whether they're audible or not, there is no influence on the actual sound by cutting it at 20khz

  • I am planning on buying a pair of A3X to complement my mackie mr8 mk2 monitors.

What i don't understand: why would you want a tweeter that goes to 50Khz, if the human hearing can hear only to about 20 Khz. Does it have something to do with harmonics?
