You're good I wish I was that good.. I know it takes practice but idk if i'll ever get there.. I played that song once for my recital I played it not as fast but about the same tempo I would say. For some reason when I play though... It sounds almost the same as how you just played but when I try to get it on video or something it sounds awful... almost like it's completely out of tune or something.. It makes me wonder if that's how others hear it when I play..

The secret is in how hard one works at technique. This can only be achieved by taking lessons. Every player should have the ability to have instruction. ...(ran out of comment space) I may need to invest in a newer violin though something a bit pricey but as long as it's of good quality... My current one.. I don't know.. it's fine and everything but I feel that it doesn't produce a very good quality of sound. and the fine tuner pegs for the E and A string i believe the two are.. Do not work. =/

What type of violin would you recommend along with what type of wooden bow??

One should have at least an instrument that is set up properly, it need not be an expensive instrument in order to sound or play well. A good player can make even the worst instrument sound good. The black fiddle I play on some of my vids is a cheap Cresent brand, but is set up very well. Make sure you have a good bow, as well.

Find a local luthier (violin maker) to look at your fiddle. They can easily make the repairs, as they sound very minor. Try to be more confident in your playing ability, as this is important. You alone can do what you want and achieve one goal at a time. This just takes proper direction and you seem to have the desire, which is necessary to reach the goal.
