I am a girl, and I have been hurt my fair share of times but we as girls hurt the guys also. so maybe we should pay attention to that as well and not just bash the guys for breaking our hearts. We break hearts too ladies

I know. I almost wish I had been physically abused rather than emotionally. I grew up with a father that told me I was ugly and stupid and never good enough. I grew to hate myself, convinced that he was right because he was the adult so he knew what he was talking about. It's been two years since I last stayed with him, but I still struggle with confidence each and every day. I never can regain that part of myself no matter how hard I try.
