  • whats the mpg? - just curios

  • @sahiel5

Honestly, I've never checked. I've only got 200 miles on the car right now and have just been enjoying the car. It really doesn't do too badly as I've only filled the tank twice since I got it out on the road. You've got me curious though. I'll have to test it out one of these days and see.

  • Sir, you have one beautiful car. The gloss black looks beautiful and that green just screams barracuda.

Do you happen to know if it is possible to purchase a new 1971 cuda body?

  • @dgodfreyjr I don't believe anyone makes a re-body of the Cuda, but Dynacorn recently introduced a rebody of the 70 Challenger.

  • Looks like the 71 cuda on my 2011 mopar calendar

  • @jimmykudo23 -- Awesome. I'd like to see that calendar -- is there a sample of it online anywhere?

  • This is the car Mel Gibson should have had in Mad Max.

  • That's a shame, maybe I can come across a body one day for reasonable price. The '71 'cuda is my dream car. I own a '71 mustang, I love the late '60 early '70 muscle cars

  • Awesome looking final, but as it was a re-creation what was the starting point. 71 challenger or?

    Thanks

  • one day, this is my dream car, i always wanted it purple with 440 six pack and those type of wheels :) great car

  • @sahiel5 By the way, i have a 340 Cuda with a 4 barrel Holley carb, it does 15 mpg.

  • @sahiel5 8 to 10 mpg can be expected from a hemi on carbs, if it has modern fuel injection you can expect around 18mpg.

  • amazing car!!! realy good job dud, your new baby roks!!! love 71 cudas and i hope some day i can come with my own project to :), the american muscle cars are just sweet!!!

    enjoy your new ride ;)

  • man I LOVE That!

  • It still sounds like a beast!

  • I love the pistol grip shifter in cuda's it so badass but u hav yourself a nice ride, don't let it go to waste

  • @enimsaj69 Thanks for the compliment. It was an awesome project. I'm happy with the results. In fact, I just had a series of photos taken of the car that you might like to see: 71cuda.net/71cuda_railyard.cfm . I wish your friend luck with his restoration project. The only advice I would offer is to have him make a plan for what he wants and stick to it. If he changes his mind along the way, it won't take long to get drowned in costs.
