  • "Alice! Get ready because you're going to the moon!" "......and I'm calling Bellview because you're nuts!" Jackie was truly a talented artist. Who else can play an aggravated New Yorker bus driver, a humble French mute, and a hard charging Texas red neck sherriff and a slick expert pool player.

  • The main reason why Jackie appeared on film in 1955-'56 was because he wanted to produce and package other programs- his companion series on Saturday nights, the Dorsey Brothers' "STAGE SHOW", was also owned and produced by him....

  • "THE HONEYMOONERS" was filmed at the Adelphi Theater in New York, twice a week, between August 1955 and February 1956, using the DuMont "Electronicam" system, which could film an image AND televise live pictures of it to a control room, eliminating the need for extensive editing later on.

  • I found "Pioneers of Television" to be a stellar docu-series. The archival footage is very crisp and colourful. Hazzah for PBS!

  • I was captured at the first moment... count me in watching this when it airs!

  • Brilliant! Can't wait to see the whole thing!
