@dustypuppy I fumbled across this by mistake to preview the metronome. Record a tiny bit of non sense garbage. Loop it. Mute it. Route your input instrument to another track to monitor it. Turn on the click to preview the metronome,rehearse & adjust it as you play along. Pick a tempo then start recording for real

No way to preview the metronome that I know of. So just record a bit, then stop and undo. Or you can set it to click during playback too if that helps.
When you change the tempo of your project, the MIDI parts will work with the changes but your audio won't. The audio would need to be time stretched. You need to decide on a tempo before you start recording audio.
Good luck

How do I preview the metronome click tempo to adjust it before I start recording anything? Also if,Ive recorded something say,too slow,if I then adjust the tempo,the click goes faster but the music doesnt. How do you make the music and the metronome "lock together",so to speak, so next tracks can be played at the increased tempo? Thanks

@Tessaaa13
That must be a driver mode problem . . . depending on what your system is.
See my video called "Sonar First Time Setup" for more about driver modes.
What driver mode are you using ?
What version of Sonar ?
What OS are you using ?

Hello Dwight . Thanks for these great videos. I have a question on entering notes in the piano roll with the Draw tool. I'm trying to entering straight 8th notes for a high hat and I've already chosen that note value. When I try it, no matter how careful and and precise I attempt to be, the notes are off by a hair. I can later fix them with the quantize function you explained, but I think there must be a better way. Would appreciate any help. Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff
I have never heard of it acting this way.
In the piano roll view, change the "Snap to Grid" properties to 1/8 notes.
Now, with snap to grid on, they must go in the right spot ?
If this is not so, perhaps you have a timing problem with your settings. This might be due to a wrong driver mode or perhaps a driver needs updating in your system. Be sure you have all updates for your software as well as the newest drivers for your hardware
I hope this helps

How do you record the session drummer to the track?

@meatheadfox
Hi - you need to drag the small music note onto a MIDI track.
I show how to do this at 01:28 of my new video "Sonar - Tips and Tricks #1"
Good luck
