This song needs a capo on the fourth fret, and all the chords that I say, are relative to the fourth fret. So if you wanted to play without a capo. For example, Cmaj really means Emaj

CHORDS:
C - x32010
E - 022100
Am - x02210
C/F - x33210
G - 320003 or 3x0033 or 3x0003 (whatever you think sounds best)

(I dont know the names of the rest of the chords, but i say the positioning)

when I start doing the picking, my middle finger always starts following my index and it gets messy, but somehow it feels easier. Is that ok to do??

Following how so? Do you mean following like how most people can't move their little-finger without moving their ring-finger? You can even finger pick with more than just your index finger. When I made this video I wasn't very good at finger picking myself. Now I use all my fingers and don't move my thumb as much, so if you can practice doing it that way (the right way) you'd be best off. But really what is comfortable is what matters, and as long as you stay in rhythm.
