MFFL 09 (week 7) : #2 TRIDENTS (0) vs. #6 MUSTANGS (22)

It certainly wasn't due to home field advantage!!! #6 UIA Mustangs surprised everyone except themselves last Sunday when they comfortably defeated and upset the increasingly troubled #2 Subang Tridents in the opening match for the day. QB#7 Super Stallion Shafiq was impressive, leading his Offensive charges to victory in their final game of the Regular Season. Though the win wouldn't bring them through to the Playoff rounds, the team performance was something the Mustangs should be proud of, and the taste of glory against a highly ranked team makes it even sweeter. Shafiq threw 2 TDs to his regulars, TE#8 Discovery Channel I Don't Have His Name Dude and standout RB#71 Nik Sonic-Boom Alfan. Mustangs Defense was even more impressive, chugging in numbers with DT#88 From G's to Gents Sar-G and DE#87 Another Without A Name Dude, leading the way with impressive hussles, sacks and defensive scores. DE#87 Mr. No Name showed he had Game, bagging 1 INT and scored a Safety to record an impressive day indeed. Though they lost, the Tridents walked off the field feeling good about going to the Playoffs. Caution however, as statistically, the Tridents was never the same team again after they got man-handled by the mighty Theyhateus on Week 4.

Game ball goes to: Momma's Beefy Chunky Soup that the Mustangs Defensive corp feasted on for supper the night before. They were tenacious out there!!! They showed us they certainly have talent within their circle. All they need is some grooming.

Meat Market Money Survey: Our The Insider report indicates there is gonna be lotsa high quality grain-fed wagyu horse meat from the Mustangs will be involved in trades during the Transfer Window. And we also know a particular animal that loves raw meat...Woof!!! Woof!!!!
