What's up guys and welcome back to Clevver Games. I'm your host Andrea Rene here with more news from Tokyo Game Show 2011. Developer Team Ninja has revealed they will be releasing another fighting game with Dead Or Alive 5.

They were thinking of ways to evolve the Dead or Alive franchise, so the concept of the game will no longer just be a fighting game. The goal is for it to become fighting entertainment. Now based on this footage seen here, I'm not exactly sure what is so entertaining about the game that is different that what we've seen in the past.

There seems to be a bigger emphasis on environment with flying debris and slow-mo attacks, but no other details have been revealed. During the demo at TGS however it was obvious that the series signature difficult will return as one of the developers had to change from hard to normal mode after dying repeatedly.

And based on this piece of art showing a sweaty Kasumi, I think it is safe to say the sexualized ladies will be back as well. The game will launch on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 sometime next year and I'll be sure to bring you more info from Team Ninja once it is available. Looks stiff.. Not as bad as Tekken, but still. Also, the hit effect is killing it, and I know what they mean by "fighting entertainment". They want to way heavy on those cutscene like things in the trailer. Itegaki's gone, and his replacement is a total idiot.

@sills0608 No , VF was the first 3d fighter (1993), Tekken launched in 94 . The creator of DOA is a big VF fan , also DOA originally used to same arcade board as VF ( Sega's Model 2) .

VF, Tekken, Doa, they're all good games.
