Kind of a loud crunchy old school guitar thing. Just me, my Strat, and the BR-600.

  • That was really very good, my friend. Great guitar work, and the tune was very melodic and musical. I just got a BR-600 myself and I am hoping it will help me create more complex music ideas. Again, great job.

  • Thanks dlowrie290! You will have fun with the BR-600. It really draws out your creativity. You'll see!

  • Hey, Great job! Very Satriani-esque! I have a BR-600 and I would like to ask a question. How do you Master with this thing? . Any help or forum you could point me too would be much appreciated!I have done searches for online help with no luck(my question: How to record my existing tracks to the V-tracks on 7-8 to prepare for mastering?-Again the manual seems vague about this process, unless I'm reading it wrong).

I appreciate your time, and again, great song!

    Thanks!

  • Hey, thanks SDN! Actually the mastering process is very simple. I've struggled with it also, but if you follow the instructions word for word on Page 111 of the manual you will get it. Make sure that the correct source is selected (your bounced final stereo track, ie 78V1 or whatever it is). The default patch of the MTK is P01 and it works fine. You can also tweak the parameters of the Mastering Toolkit, but that is way above me.

  • Forgot to mention, if your source for mastering is 78V1 then select the destination to be 78V2, that way you will have the raw bounced stereo tracks n 78V1 and the mastered tracks on 78V2.

  • I dont know much about recording at home, but I do have a few questions:

    - drum mics will plug into this right?

    - does mixing have to be done on this or can tracks be exported to a laptop?

    - can you, for example, record a drum track, then record the guitar track with the drum track playing?

    - what is the sound quality like when recording vocals from an external mic?

    - what is the final export format/quality like?

    Thanks.

  • - May need xlr adaptor?

    - Don't need to mix, Yes you can export to laptop

    - Yes

    - Pretty good

    - Excellent after mixing through the mastering toolkit.

There are some great BR-600 productions here on youtube.
