this is a clip of pics of our dirt car build . it started off originally as a 1979 monte carlo , then progressed to a mid 80's monte c body , and then we made a home made rendition of a '57 chevy . it's not perfect because i CANT do it perfect , if you have negative comments , build your own , and build it better , or shut mouth !
what the hell is a damn ford sticker doin on the hood of that damn thing.that just ruined it for me,im done.dont put no ford shit on my chevy, dont need to put inferer parts or fucked up sticker on a real automobile/race car

@Mr1963chevy hahaha ! actually have to laugh at your reaction , it's just a sticker , it has a chevy engine but there is a ford rearend . as about 90% of hot rodded chevies have the superior FORD 9" rearend , i doubt most chevy guys hate fords that much to get rid of the rear axle . the only guys still running chevy rearends in circle track are breaking them all the time and finally switch to the ford for a more reliable and less dangerous axle . the sticker was a joke

@madcowl i've worked on cars for most of my 46yrs,i also own and operate a restoration and street rod shop.i go to dirt track races many weekends of the yr,if not there,im at the drag strip.done alot of street racing,go to cars shows alot, because of my busssiness needs it.i've seen alot car will a ton of h.p.,seen many with a 12 bolt never seen guys bust those.a 12 bolt is as strong as any ford shit.i understand that you have to work on it under the car,if you want to change gears.

@Mr1963chevy i did drag stuff for years also . i used to narrow 12 bolt rears for customers and some went as quick as mid 8's but after that , the ford 9" was the answer . in dirt track , most cars run in our area run metric frames and they came with the 10 bolt rear but the axles come out in the turns , that's where the 9" rear is much better . moser sells a massive axle for the 9" for circle track , that's what i bought , they have giant bearings

@moparmotorhead1 thanks , we did what we could with no experience using an english wheel . that is an art for sure . i give all the respect in the world to those masters of sheetmetal . i know with experience it will get better but it's a slow process . i'm gonna start on a new body for the dirt late model chassis pretty soon . i'm gonna attempt to make a 69 mustang fastback , and i know it will be a big challenge . thanks again for the positive post . ted
