    1) Older Ipods need the software upgrade the using Itunes -Ipod Sync screen otherwise the prius displays Ipod-but no music, no tracks.

    2) You can order an Ipod Bluetooth Transmitter from Amazon to keep control of your Ipod, and still get it into your Prius Sound System

    3) Works well in 2011 Prius-III with Navigation

Many thanks for posting this video. You have saved me from pulling out my hair !

    Grizz

  • I think Album advance using the "Seek/Track" button does not work. Page 116 of the Navi manual has instructions about that. Was wondering if the user can do anything (both legally or customer service) to make Toyota correct it.

  • It is my understanding the Toyota part number for the kit is PT233-47100. It's about 190.00 bucks. Good video. Looks like you used a iPhone to record it. Not back.

  • are there any alternatives to play your ipod? the scrolling issue is so aggravating that i'd rather just use my ipod to scroll... is there any way to do that using a different connection or something?

  • @polysciprof I have this problem as well with an ipod nano, but it only does it when i leave it overnight. did you find a solution?

  • I really regret getting the Prius II now. That Navigation System seems pretty cool

  • I just leave it on shuffle when I drive, its safer

  • Nice video. I have a serious problem with the interface on my 2010 Prius: when I'm playing an audiobook and turn off the car, the recording starts back at the beginning rather than where I left off. There's no way to fast forward the recording so I have to listen to the whole thing again, making the iPod interface totally useless for listening to an audiobook.

    Has anyone had this problem?

  • Have you determined whether voice recognition works with finding music on the ipod/iphone? Also, does the caller ID come up on the display when you get an incoming call?

  • Great review. The knob scrolling suggestion is priceless. I was getting pretty frustrated with the touch screen scrolling. I haven;t gotten the voice recognition to work with the iPod. Please repost if you were able to get that work. Excellent video. :-D
