This video shows Oskar the Blind Kitten -- who has been blind since birth -- in December of 2011. He is almost 7 months old and weighs approximately 9 pounds in these clips. Video was recorded at our place in downtown Omaha, Nebraska.
Oskar was more than happy to "help" Bethany with getting the Christmas tree ready. He was not harmed or hurt in any way in any of the clips, and is as healthy and happy as any loved cat (pretty much spolied, just like Klaus).
Thanks for watching! More videos coming soon.

Is there surgery that can help the car get some eye sight back. I believe I seen a video of a blind dog that got surgery and got it's eye sight back in one eye.

In Oskar's case (severe microphthalmia), there is little possibility of any surgical remedy. His eyes didn't develop to the point that they would function at all. I guess I never saw the show with the dog, but the possibility is good that it was a removal of a lens obstruction that allowed light in. Oskar, however, could be more traumatized by the surgery and "Sight" than anything else. He really thrives in his environment, and he is such a happy cat. Take care!

Oskar was born with severe microphthalmia and thus has been blind since birth. That doesn't slow him down one bit!

Tiny little eyes -- they are not functional at all. You can sometimes see something in his right eye socket. He has very severe microphthalmia.

Another reason I can't have a Christmas tree.... my 4 thugs would have the thing down in about 5 minutes. Oh, well, no matter ... I can watch this video again and again!

Try spraying it with lime juice or hanging some orange peels from the bottom branches. Cats apparently hate the smell of citrus...ours won't go near our tree when we do that.

He is soooo cute!!!!!!!!! I think he got in big trouble after he broke the christmas tree and was like "I didn't do anything, what are you talking about dad?" So adorable.
