you know for all the crap people say on youtube or any other blog/post site.. Let me ask them this. If Obama is not the answer or Macain is just out of the question... THEN WHO?!?!?!

gretchen: Germany's democratic party criticized Obama for not allowing signs at his speech: No freedom of speech at Obama foto-ops! Obama himself accepted "votes" (& delegates) from MI that were not his. Check out the CAUCUS FRAUD that gave Obama most of his delegates!

Obama isn't interested in democracy? He probably has some interest in it. I mean, a year ago all the polls we all thought Sen. Clinton would coast through the primaries for an easy nomination. Democracy, however, stepped in.
I was disappointed in his FISA vote as well, but I will still vote for him.
I'm not trying to pick a fight with you. Please don't sit this election out. Either Obama or McCain WILL be President in five months, and not voting for Obama is as good as voting for McCain.

gretchen, pls get informed: Hillary Clinton's name was ONLY put in for nomination at the convention AFTER TREMENDOUS PRESSURE FROM HER SUPPORTERS. Obama isn't interested in democracy! If he cared about democracy he would have voted AGAINST FISA & t-comm immunity rather than caving and accepting AN INVESCO FIELD AT&T SPONSORED CORONATION!

Oh, come ON. The death of LIBERTY? You've got to be kidding. Settle down. Hillary Clinton's name was put in for nomination at the convention. I think the fact that she has been so proactive in her efforts to get the party unified around the nominee is extremely commendable.
This isn't even necessarily the death of her pursuit of the Presidency. And if it is, it's entirely possible that she becomes one of the most venerable people in the Senate, in the same vein as Ted Kennedy.

As a white 60's civil rights worker (SNCC in DC and Mississippi, Howard U. graduate, Peace Corps Volunteer- Nigeria '65-67,international development consultant, and, now residenty of the Netherlands, etc.)I've been really moved to tears by the DNC and, for the first time with over 30+ years of working overseas intermittently, have felt homesick for the USA to be in where all of this amazing stuff is going on. America is truly an amazing country. and I've lived and worked in 20+ others.
