I wrote this spot while working at New York Communications for WPVIs sports anchor, Gary Papa.Sportscasters dad can never reach his son at work because hes always out covering the teams. He has to watch him at 6 and 11 just like everybody else.

I just got it from the WGRZ website here in Buffalo. He was born and bred here, and then went over to WPVI from Channel 2 in '81.
RIP; I hardly knew ye.

It is with sadness that I report that Gary Papa lost his valiant five-year battle against prostate cancer today (June 19, 2009).
He was 54.
