I can't help but notice that this clock does not run clockwise. Anyway: it's not even possible to make a 1:12 gear ratio with any combination of the three different K'nex gears. That's quite a problem if you wanna power both hands with one source, since one has to go 12 times as fast as the other.

K'nex actually made a Grandfather Clock set for 16+ with over 9,000 pieces, and it stands over 6 feet tall and the clock actually tells the real time. It is for $999.99. Go to knex.com for more information

my best one runs for 4 and a half minutes and doesn't have any hands, although it does take about 1 second per tick. how do you get more then one hand to run at once? and how do you get it to run on a very high gear ratio? we stacked ours up with weight and it still wouldn't run when geared down using 3 big gears and 2 small gears. if we got it to work then it would probably run for close to an hour.

I am making a clock of my own, but it only goes for 30 minutes, how can I make it go longer? By the way, great job!
