  • the novelty in this video is rendering the all-frequency shadows from environmental lighting. It is usually difficult to do that for fully-dynamic scenes using previous methods.

  • And the lighting is done image-based?

  • the lighting is Environment map lighting(cube map format).

  • What hardware are you running this on? When can we see these kind of shadows and lighting in PC and consoles?

    Amazing work btw.

  • We are using geforce 8800gtx gpu for rendering the results on normal PC. We are trying to make the algorithm to be more practical for real apps in games and film tech. Thanks a lot for your attention!
