I was beginning to think the Benevolent Ones might be a little upset with me, as I've been sitting on so many beautiful "Dark Star" images. (I've taken so many recently, I hardly know where to begin.)

But after today's batch, pretty sure they'll forgive me. The very last image I took today I think the best.

The Sun was fast setting behind Jerome mountain, the one with the big "J" on it.

I took what I thought would be my last pic.

Then I heard my Friend Plane coming, then I saw it, took a bunch more pics of said plane, decided to take one more pic of the Sun and ...

Voila!

How to tell the good guys from the bad?

Malevolent trails are long and linger and eventually merge with other trails to form white haze or Chem Clouds. Malevolents almost never spray in middle of blue sky. They usually start at the horizon, then lay successive trails parallel which merge together.

Benevolent trails can be short or long, but don't linger for long. Many times they're pencil thin, but not always. Sometimes Benevolents spray in middle of blue sky, then trail disappears.
