A documentary trailer by Adelante Film & TV on LAFD Station 9, the busiest fire station in the United States, located on skid row in Los Angeles, Ca.
All of the music is from the movie: The Island. The first part is the song called "The Island Awaits You", the second is "Renovation", and the last part is "My Name is Lincoln". Enjoy!

  • guys, if your an LAFD firefighter, are you expected to work on the ambulance? Also are you certified to EMT-B or CFR? Just curious as the department I hope to get on is only certified to CFR and their EMT service is separate.

  • @JMackin88 All firefighters are at least EMTs. And dual function firefighter/paramedics work on the ambulance and on a engine/truck. EMT/FF also will work on BLS ambulances "800 series rescue"

  • What a wonderful video, showcasing the work our men and women do on the front line of the LAFD.

It is videos like this that really hit the heart of people showing what these heroes do every minute of every day, of every year - putting their lives on the line, and at the end of the day they aren't doing it for the money, but for what it means.

One thing with our heroes, they can be there when you most count on them!

Once again, what a wonderful video!

  • There are a few documentaries I would like to see on TV, the Detroit one, as well as the LAFD are among the few. Stay safe out there brothers.

Thanks for the reply. Must be nice having pants that fit you near-perfectly around the waste. Haha. Then again, you're in a big city and I'm in a small town. :P

  • @abzvinny318 our turnout pants are the same, some just choose to cinch the adjustable straps on each side.

  • Question: I've noticed that the LAFD doesn't seem to use suspenders on their pants. Do they wear a more light-weight form of bunker pants that allows them to do this without their pants falling down?

  • I hope this goes on air. Hopefully it lives up to Emergency!

  • Inspiring stuff!

  • Would love to see this!
