The Olympics, in fencing at least, are not as tough as World Champs. The depth of competion is greater in WCs and nations can only send two fencers for every individual event in the Olympics.

@Trulyloyale Your jealousy is so evident it hurts. How could the FIE powerless USA force them to design a weapon assuming that the U.S had it already and knew how to use it best. The truth is that Euro women are getting soft, while US women are in sports even more than men now. If no top fencing country takes saber seriously, they will continue to be beat by Americans, I guess.

@Trulyloyale Then can you provide a clip of true fencing? Or better yet a clip of you winning a world championship? I am not coming down on you and I am ignorant of this type of sport so if you have serious knowledge about this sport and have some clips of real fencing then I am open to it so I can see the difference.

Thousands of girls dream of winning the women's sabre world championship and they have a right to do so.
If women's sabre isn't a sport then neither is anything else. So please, next time you open your mouth to insult someone who is a lot better than you, THINK.

Top fencing country takes seriously : this fake weapon was made up a few years ago in order to make USA win a medal in Olympic Fencing ( due to sports politics ...) and all big countries stay away from it avoiding to be competitive
so they can suit the farce in favour of US " fencing " ....;-) !!
Zagunis is not a real fencing champion, she's just an actress in the comedy !
