  • hahaha..thats what i was thinking about....i can do submissions for legs when i trying to pass a open guard...thanks..hahaha

  • I love this heel hook because the move can be over rotated and turned into a knee bar

  • What hapens if you (on the second one) bring his leg up in a half circle towards his shoulder on the same side while keeping it bend 90 degrees so its parallel to his body, would that be to easty to roll out of?? I don;t practice BJJ so I could be making a big noob mistake, and if so sorry for that in advacne, I just want to know more, just a big fan of BJJ!

  • This is kinda like the ankle lock i learned in Sambo, works great!

  • i pulled this off today at jitsu

  • Do you know who that teacher is? I'm sure he had accomplished much more then you would ever do. If you think 17 years is a lot of time, you should rethink your concepts. Just do a little of research under his name: Renato Tavares.

  • I couldn't have trained under a better man. Renato Tavares is the best.

  • Thanks for the info, but I still recommend that you do it the way I teach. And yes I think I have know what you are trying to say , I have done this for 17 years now (2nd degree blackbelt) and have 8 schools of my own.

I still like this video I just know that you can make the fottlock much tighter the way I recommend.

But what ever works for you is fine with me.!

    Take care

  • if you have ever been in a foot lock like that you'd understand why its being applied like that. The opponent does not only feel pain in the ankle but if you arch your back and apply pressure downwards the opponent will also feel tremendous pressure on the shin, feeling like it is going to snap and will tap immediately.

  • Hmm?? Foot-locks are way tighter if you lay on the arm that is working the submission and fold in your elbow so your chest is facing down down! But the rest is good stuff!!
